The Call for Proposals for the CIES 2026 Conference, themed "RE-EXAMINING PEACE AND EDUCATION IN A DIVIDED WORLD," is due now. The conference will take place from March 28 to April 1, 2026, at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square, CA, and will offer face-to-face and virtual participation options.

This year, our Southeast Asia SIG warmly invites educators, scholars, researchers, and practitioners to join our vibrant community dedicated to exploring the role of education and technology in learning across Southeast Asia. Please see the attached Call for Proposal flyer for details.

Introduction of the New Leadership Team 

We’re excited to introduce the leadership team of the Southeast Asia Special Interest Group (SIG) at CIES! Our team brings together educators, researchers, and advocates who are passionate about highlighting Southeast Asian voices and perspectives in global conversations on education concerning the Southeast Asia region. We work to build connections across our community, share resources, and create opportunities for collaboration, learning, and advocacy. Whether you’re new to CIES or a longtime member, we’re here to make sure the SIG is a welcoming space to exchange ideas, celebrate scholarship, and tackle the challenges and opportunities shaping education in Southeast Asia.
